When I heard him say this on YouTube I immediately cringed – of course he wasn’t saying anything that wasn’t true, but I would have been hard pressed to think of anything stupider he could have said right before a blue-collar primary.

His response was VERY well worded. Unfortunately as i’m sure you are all aware, most people in the working class demographic really only ever read headlines. (Being able to say blatantly obvious things like this is one of the many perks of not being a politician)

I don’t think most of the major outlets are giving this as much coverage as the controversy involving his former pastor. Still – I would be very surprised if it didn’t stop Obama from climbing up the polls to top Hillary in Pennsylvania.

Hillary’s reaction to this was predictably inane. After her condemnation of the comment she told reporters of her supposed experience with guns in a pathetic attempt to pass herself off as a peoples candidate.

I am continually amazed by candidates like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who dwell on what is wrong with America and rarely offer a viewpoint on what is right with America. Do they really hope to become president by bemoaning how miserable life is in this country and will remain until they can bring 100% government control to the situation? Apparently they do.

When will the Democrat party learn that the American public by and large want a president who wants to lift up America and not tear it down?

Whether old Democrat ideals or new Democrat ideals the underlying message is always the same: MISERY of the people, by the people, and especially for the people. No thanks!

The Democratic party is about change – if America had embraced that 4 or 8 years ago we wouldn’t be in a recession right now.

Obama’s platform is HOPE – I have never once heard him speak about any problem in this country he wasn’t offering a solution to

if you want to live in some fantasy land where our economy isn’t crumbling around us, and choose to embrace a candidate that by his own admission knows nothing about economics, by all means vote McCain.
